Pastor Brandon was born and raised in Mississippi. He graduated from a small Christian college in Clinton, MS in 2007 with a degree in political science and communication. After spending a year in law school, he surrendered to God’s call to be a pastor. Brandon has served vocationally in ministry since he was 18 years old, in which he served as a youth minister. He moved to Northern VA to answer the call as a youth pastor in May 2009 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Manassas.

Ellen grew up in the Hampton Roads area of VA. She graduated from Christopher Newport University in 2010 with a degree in political science. She moved to Northern VA to work as a social worker in downtown DC. After her first year in the area, she began serving as a student ministry intern at her church and working full time in the non profit and defense contracting world. While feeling a strong call to be more involved in ministry and missions, she met Brandon and began dreaming about planting a church and reading the D.C. area with the Gospel.

After fulfilling many different roles throughout Brandon’s time at Emmanuel Baptist Church as teaching pastor and providing leadership to many different ministries, he once again was challenged by The Lord and his local church to start a new church so that new people could be reached. On the same day, December 18, 2011, Brandon married Ellen, and they were commissioned to the mission field of Fairfax County, VA. Now, Brandon and Ellen have 3 children – Zeke, Zoe, and Evie! The heartbeat of Brandon’s ministry is having a front row seat to life change by proclaiming The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Brandon is a baseball enthusiast and coffee-addict. He is actively engaged in the community and serves on the Board of Directors for Cutting EDGE Ministries, a non-profit focused on bringing The Gospel to public high schools. When Ellen is not busy helping Brandon, she enjoys reading.

Recently, Brandon and his wife, Ellen, were commissioned to start a new church plant in the heart of downtown Fredericksburg.
